74th Annual Memorial Day Service

The National Japanese American Memorial Foundation was honored to co-host the 74th annual Memorial Day Service at Arlington National Cemetery on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Our thanks to the Kobayashi family, whose father, Key Kobayashi, had begun this annual event in 1948. Along with our partners, the Japanese American Citizens League (National and Washington DC Chapter) and the Japanese American Veterans Association (JAVA), we remembered the service and sacrifice of our veterans and their families. After the formal ceremony, flowers were placed on over 100 sites to pay our respects. This event was livestreamed on JAVA Facebook, and you can view the event using this link.
